Kitty Bling Birthday Card

I made this card tonight for my entry in this week's Willow Sketchie Challenge. Thought I would get it in a little bit earlier this time. ;) Hope you all like it. :D

Kitty Bling Birthday Card

I used white card for my base card, which I then covered with a purple glitter patterned paper. Next I cut 2 rectangles 8 x 11cm, one out of pink polka dot paper and the other out of a pink patterned paper.

Next I attached a "Happy Birthday" pink ribbon across the bottom of my card (this also doubled as my sentiment). I then attached the 2 rectangles to my card using double sided tape. I also glued a few embellishments to my card; a diamonte heart to the ribbon, a purple glitter and white paper flower and also a purple bud ribbon to the pink patterned rectangle.

I then coloured in a free Sliekje Kitty Digi Stamp in Photoshop, printed it on white card, trimmed around it and glued it to the pink polka dot rectangle. Lastly I stuck a pink pearl on her bag, and pink pearls and pink diamontes on to her necklace.

I would like to thank Pauline from Willow Sketchie Challenge for another fantastic sketch. Good luck to all that enter. :D

Quick Wedding Acceptance Card

Have been so busy lately that I completely forgot to RSVP for a friend's wedding. :( Luckily she already knew we were attending and sent us a text today to just confirm it. So I decided to make her a quick acceptance card today and post it off to her, more as a keepsake than anything. Hope you all like it. :D

Quick Wedding Acceptance Card

I also made this quick card as a mini card (10 x 9cm). I used white card for my base card and cut a rectangle of black card 2cm smaller, which I then attached to the center of the card. I attached a black spotted ribbon across the middle of the card.

For the flower embellishment I layered 3 different coloured and sized paper flowers. I then attached a pink pre made paper rosette to the center of them by poking the stem (as they came in a bunch and I left approx 1.5cm of stem on it) through each paper flower and then bending it at a 90 degree angle to push flat on the back of the flowers. Lastly I attached the flowers using foam double sided tape.

Quick Pink Birthday Card

Have been so busy this week that I completely forgot about making an entry for this week's Willow Sketchie Challenge. So I just made a quick card for my entry. Hope you all like it. :D

Quick Pink Birthday Card

I used white card for my base card, which I then covered with a pink polka dot paper. I then glued a strip of pink sprinkle patterned paper across the bottom. I attached a large pink silk flower to the top left of my card and 3 paper flowers to the top right corner. Next I glued 3 blue mini buttons to the center of each paper flower.

I coloured in a free Sliekje Cupcake digi stamp in Photoshop, printed it on white card and cut it in a rectangle. I then attached it to my card using double sided tape. Lastly I wrote out a "Happy Birthday" sentiment on white card, trimmed around it and glued it to the left of the digi.

I would like to thank Miria from Willow Sketchie Challenge for such a great sketch. Good luck to all that enter. :D

Pastel Easter Card

I made this card last night for my entry in this week's Willow Sketchie Challenge. Thought I may as well start on my Easter cards, as Easter will be here before I know it. Hope you all like it. :D

Pastel Easter Card

I used white card as my base card. I then cut four 1.5 x 15cm strips of pastel paper (2x Yellow and 2x Pink), I cut all the ends on a 45 degree angle and glued them around the edge of my card to make a border.

I used 2 image elements on this card, one being a paper pieced egg that I made and the other a colouring page which I found using Google Images. I coloured the colouring page in using Photoshop, printed it on white card and then trimmed around it. I then cut 2.5cm strips off either side, leaving the middle strip 3.5cm, I then cut 0.5cm off either side of the middle strip. Next I cut 0.5cm off the top of the 2 outside strips and 0.5cm off the bottom of the middle strip. I then glued the strips to my card.

To make the paper pieced egg I made an oval template out of white card (as I don't have a cutter yet, but am getting one soon :D ), I then traced it onto yellow, pink and blue paper and cut out the 3 egg shapes. Using the long side of the oval template I then marked and cut off the ends of the pink and blue eggs (leaving the pink longer than the blue). I glued the yellow egg to the template for strength. Then using a flower shaped punch I punched 3 flowers down the middle of the blue egg and then glued it to the pink egg. Next using a small hole punch I punched around the edges of the pink egg and the center out of the flowers, I then glued it to the yellow egg. I then glued it to my card on top of the other image.

I glued a blue ribbon across the bottom of my card. I then made a "Happy Easter" sentiment in Photoshop, printed it on white card, trimmed around it and attached it to the bottom right corner of my card. I made and glued a little pink ribbon to the top of my sentiment. Lastly I glued a little orange flower sequin to the bottom right of my sentiment.

I had so much fun creating this card and I would like to thank Kelly from Willow Sketchie Challenge for a great sketch. Good luck to all that enter. :D

Wedding Card

I made this card today for our friend's wedding in March. Hope you all like it. :D

Wedding Card

I used white card as my base card which I then covered with a black and silver glittered patterned paper.

I coloured in a free Sliekje Wedding Digi Stamp in Photoshop, printed it on white card and trimmed it to a rectangle. I then cut a rectangle out of white card 1cm larger than the digi, and 2 more rectangles the same size out of 2 different coloured papers (I used pastel pink and pastel blue). I then cut the 2 coloured paper rectangles diagonally in half and glued one colour (blue) to the top half of the white card rectangle and the other colour (pink) to the bottom half. I then attached my digi to it and attached it to the top left of my card with double sided tape.

Next I glued various paper flowers and pearl heart shaped embellishments to the bottom right corner of my card. Lastly I made a "Congratulations" sentiment in Photoshop which I printed on white card, trimmed around and attached with double sided tape on an angle above the flowers.

Happy Birthday Hamster Card

I made this card tonight as I had the itch to craft. Hope you all like it. :D

Happy Birthday Hamster Card

I used white card for my base card, which I then covered with a stripy glittered patterned card.

I then coloured in a free Sliekje Cupcake Hamster Digi Stamp in Photoshop, printed it on white card, trimmed it to a rectangle and matted it to pink polka dot paper. I then attached it with double sided tape to the top of my card. Next I also coloured in a "Happy Birthday" sentiment, printed it on white card, trimmed it to a rectangle and matted it to blue paper.

I then cut 2 lengths of blue satin ribbon, 1 to run the length of my card and the other the width. I trimmed one end of each to a point. I then attached one down the right side of my card and the other across the bottom. Next I attached the sentiment over the top of the ribbons in the bottom right corner of my card. I then stuck a little pink pearl to the end of each ribbon. Lastly I glued a little pink bow to the hamster's head and another to the bottom right corner of the sentiment.
