Santa In Chimney Shaker Card

I made this card tonight for my entry in this week's Willow Sketchie Challenge. As I had so much fun making last week's shaker card I decided to make another. Hope you all like it. :D

Santa In Chimney Shaker Card

I used a white card as my base card. I cut a rectangle out of blue and white polka dot paper and glued it to the center of my card. Next I cut a rectangle out of white pearl paper (for the house) and a trapezoid out of brown metallic paper (for the roof). I then cut 2 rectangles out of either side of the white pearl rectangle (for the windows) and one in the center at the bottom (for the door).

I then cut out the window frames and door out of brown metallic paper. I glued the door to another piece of brown metallic paper and left a 5mm flap down one side. I then pushed and glued the flap to the back of the left side of the doorway. Next I glued on the window frames. I then coloured in 2 free Sliekje Digi Stamps (the girl and the boy) and a free Little Scraps Of Heaven Designs Christmas Tree Digi Stamp using Photoshop. I printed them on white card and cut them out into rectangles big enough to fit behind the windows and door. I then glued them to the back of the house behind the windows and door. Next I glued the house and roof to my card.

For the shaker I cut an oval out of green and white polka dot card, and another oval out of the center of it. I then coloured in my free Santa In Chimney and Santa Sack Digi Stamps using Photoshop. I printed them on white card, trimmed around them and glued them onto the roof of the house. Next I glued plastic transparency to the back of the oval, and once dry trimmed around it. I then put double sided foam tape all around the back of my oval, and trimmed around the outside. Next I stuck the bottom half of the oval to the card, and filled it with the shaker ingredients (I used mini diamonte stars, diamontes, foil stars and glass bead balls) from the top of the oval. I then stuck down the top of the shaker. I cut the back off 3 silver star brads and glued them onto the oval. Lastly I made a "Santa is coming" sentiment, which I glued to the top left of the card.

This was another extremely fun card to make and I think I am hooked on shaker boxes... Lol. ;) I would like to say a massive thanks to Lisa from Willow Sketchie Challenge for another inspiring sketch. Good luck to all that enter. :D
